Budget deficit for 2016/17 seen at 3.4 percent of GDP

moneyThe consolidated budget deficit for 2016/17 is projected at 3.4 percent of GDP, marginally higher than the 2016 Budget estimate of 3.2 percent.  This is according to the Medium Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS), released by National Treasury today. (more…)
