A policy area that does not receive enough attention from SA’s lawmakers is that of non-communicable diseases such as cancer, heart disease and hypertension. This is according to the Institute for Race Relations (IRR). The IRR has released a report on the extent to which cancer and other non-communicable diseases affect South Africans.
