The organizers and sponsors of The Investment Forum have decided to cancel both conferences in Cape Town and Sandton that were meant to take place this coming week. “We are deeply disappointed with this decision, but we believe that this is in the interest of public safety as the global COVID-19 pandemic unfolds,” Kevin Hinton, Director of The Collaborative Exchange said in a statement this evening.
However, the conference content will be available in a new digital format. “We have been working tirelessly with the sponsors to ensure that we will record all of the conference on Monday and Tuesday this coming week and release this to you via digital means. This will be done via our digital partners – AssetTV,” Hinton added.
What stays the same for advisers who have registered for the event:
• You will earn CPD points* for the content that you watch online. This is NOT a webinar but a delayed digital recording. *Subject to FPI on-line approval.
• Agenda topics and content will not change and will be identical to the advertised agenda. This means that you will still get access to a wide range of subjects and experts during these difficult times. All sponsors will participate in these recordings, irrespective of the country that they originate from.
• Slide decks will be made available to you via a variety of platforms.
• This content will ONLY be available to financial advisers that have registered for the event.
What changes:
• You will be able to watch the conference on your computer in your own time and select the sessions that most interest you.
• You will now have access to even more content – you no longer need to just “attend” your selected breakaways.
What to do from here:
• Please do NOT come to the venues of the event on the dates and venues that you have chosen to attend.
• Wait for an email from us that will give you explicit details of how to view the content.
• Email us at info@theinvestmentforum.co.za should you have any further questions.
• Call either of the following persons should you require any further information:

“We deeply regret any inconvenience that this may have caused you, but we would hope that you respect the unenviable position that we have been in to make this decision,” Hinton said.
“This is the 10th anniversary of The Investment Forum and we can assure you that we will continue to bring you the latest thought-leadership in the investment industry in the foreseeable future. We trust that you will enjoy the rich content of the 2020 Investment Forum via this new digital solution during the #NewWorldDisorder.”
