
Ronny Miyambo
Novare is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Ronny Miyambo as Managing Director of Novare Actuaries and Consultants with immediate effect.
Mr Miyambo has been a key member of Novare’s leadership team since 2017 and will take over from former CEO Romeo Makhubela who tendered his resignation as at end May 2018. Mr Miyambo will also join the Novare Actuaries and Consultants Board of Directors, along with new members, Thulani Nxumalo and Derrick Roper with Makgane Thobejane and Johan Henn as existing members.
Announcing Mr Miyambo’s appointment, Novare Group CEO Derrick Roper says, “Mr Miyambo brings decades of knowledge to the company and has a proven track record with 19 years’ experience in the financial services industry. I look forward to working with him and the Novare Actuaries and Consultants team and growing the business from strength to strength.”
Mr Miyambo joined Novare in August 2017 as head of manager research. He has a BSc in Applied Maths from Wits University, as well as a BBA (Business Admin) and MBA from the University of Stellenbosch. He has worked as an investment equity analyst for Sanlam Capital Markets and Franklin Templeton Asset Management as well as a product development specialist at Old Mutual Asset Managers. In 2006, Mr Miyambo was appointed as a private equity portfolio manager for Southern Africa Enterprise Development Fund (SAEDF) where he managed investments in countries such as Botswana, Malawi, Tanzania, Angola, Mozambique and South Africa.
Before joining Novare, Mr Miyambo was an investment consultant at Selekane Asset Consultants where he spent over four years advising pension funds on their investment policy, investment strategy and asset manager research.
