Should Johnny Depp be suing his financial advisers?

Actor Johnny Depp – of Pirates of the Caribbean fame – is suing his financial advisers who go by the name of The Management Group (TMG).  Almost two decades ago, Depp hired the firm to keep an eye on his money.  Now he says these advisers have mismanaged his finances and he alleges that they’ve even engaged in fraud.  He claims that the firm paid itself over $28 million in fees without any written agreement. Depp wants – amongst other demands – compensatory damages of more than $25 million. (more…)
