On 31 March the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported a 0.1% monthly decline in real personal consumption expenditure (PCE) in February after a revised 0.2% (0.3%) monthly drop in January. This was the first time the US has reported consecutive monthly declines in PCE since the recession year of 2009. (more…)
