Sygnia Joint CEO Magda Wierzycka

Sygnia today advised its shareholders that Mr David Hufton has been appointed as the Joint Chief Executive Officer of Sygnia with immediate effect.

Mr Hufton was previously the Deputy CEO of Sygnia and prior to joining Sygnia in February 2016 was a member of the executive committee of Alexander Forbes Financial Services for many years and held various leadership roles in that company. He is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa and a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Mr Hufton shares the role of Chief Executive Officer with Ms Magda Wierzycka.  The company says that its various strategic initiatives and operational responsibilities have been clearly assigned between the joint CEOs and between the Company’s two main centres of operation in South Africa and the United Kingdom.

“The Board congratulates Mr Hufton on his appointment and is confident that the Joint CEOs will steer Sygnia through these turbulent times and beyond.”
